Cumberland Valley School of Music (CVSM) has over 600 students enrolled, taught by 53 highly qualified instructors at four primary locations in south central Pennsylvania: Thomson Hall on the Wilson College Campus, the Evangelical Lutheran Church and St. Andrew School in Waynesboro, and the Mercersburg Academy in Mercersburg. It offers lessons, classes, workshops, camps, and ensemble instruction on all instruments and for all ages and levels of ability, from preschoolers to adults, and workshops in many different styles of music, singing, and the theatre arts. Numerous performance opportunities for both faculty and students help to fulfill the mission of making music accessible to all in a variety of settings. A community symphonic band with more than 100 members, a community string orchestra, a semi-professional jazz orchestra, a youth chorus, outreach programs to area daycare, youth and senior centers, numerous special events and concerts, and a full summer program with several camps round out the programs.
