Founded by Art and Eleanor Braendel, who are Eagle River homesteaders and have been involved in the fine arts in the Anchorage area since 1946, the Academy offers instruction in music, dance, drama, literature and visual arts to over 100 students of all ages and brings professional artists together with young people and adults to experience, understand and enjoy the fine arts.
