Personal Statement
I love teaching music!! Piano and singing are my specialties, although violin students who are beginners are welcome. I have been teaching music for most of my life…starting piano lessons while I was a teenager. I have a Bachelors of Music Education Degree from Nicholls State University in Louisiana, with a double major in Piano and in Voice. I started out at Columbus College.
I am very dedicated to passing on my performance techniques as well as music reading and theory. I use an approach that involves the entire body in the music…. meaning that one should feel the beat and free up the style of the music being sung or played.
All ages are welcome.
