Personal Statement

As an experienced music educator, my focus is on differentiating instruction for each student; no two instrumentalists learn and play exactly the same way. This is achieved by catering warm-ups, skill builders, and repertoire to the goals and abilities of each student. I believe it’s important to incorporate individual musical interests into the lessons, while also expanding the student’s knowledge of other genres and styles of music.

I strive for my lessons to be challenging yet fun, motivating, and inspiring. My goal is to have my students develop into lifelong, independent musicians, playing recreationally or professionally. Any amount of progress towards this goal is worth being proud of!
