Personal Statement

As a music educator, my primary goal is to enrich the mind of a student with music. I aim to grow an appreciation for music and music making, and also work to teach valuable life skills which strengthen the character of a student. Strong emphasis is put on building self-confidence, creativity, self-motivation, and determination. These qualities and others have been taught to me through my music lessons and so I also desire to provide that to my students. When teaching, I work hard to ensure that a student is enjoying the process as well as challenging them to develop their musical skills. Each course for a student is unique, being focused on their particular strengths and weaknesses. Taking continual music lessons can lead to a passion for music and will contribute to a variety of life-long habits that lead to success in many areas.
