Personal Statement
I have been sharing my love for music by instructing students in electric bass, guitar and piano for 15 years, teaching fundamental and advanced technique, music theory, improvisation, sight reading, history, proper care for the instrument, and functional performance in a variety of styles.
I am a native of Louisville, Kentucky, with over 30 years of musical performance experience. At the age of 5 years old, I began playing piano and have been playing electric bass and guitar since the age of 10. In 2014, I joined the team at Park Place Church as a chief musician, where I perform weekly and teach master classes in music. I also currently serve as an audio/visual/lighting engineer for Fathers Heart Ministry.
Throughout my career, I have performed and recorded with a wide variety of musicians in diverse musical styles, including rock, jazz, classical, Christian contemporary, Middle-Eastern pop, and Latin music. I have also studied and performed with some extremely accomplished musicians, including Ian Bracchitta, Matt Olson, Steve Watson, Craig Wagner, Tom Ewing, Land of Color, Jay Bocook and Hussam Al-Aydi.
Education / Training
I am a graduate of the University of Louisville where I earned a Master of Music degree and hold a Bachelors in Music from Furman University.
