Personal Statement
With multiple students every lesson with that student is different and each class is tailored to their specific needs. I try to keep fun and upbeat learning environment to make sure they are motivated and excited about the instrument the are learning. I welcome all levels and ages 7 to adult to try a class with me.
Education / Training
At the age of 10, I started private violin lessons with Elaine Ikemoto who was, and still is, Principle Violin for the Fresno Philharmonic. When I entered high school, I switched to the Viola because there weren’t enough Viola players and I wanted to try something new. During that time, I studied Viola under Licia Clark at People’s School for Creative Arts. Having graduated high school in 2008, I attended Fresno Pacific University. After auditioning, I joined the Baroque Orchestra and University String Quartet that was directed by Dieter Wulfhorst, the music professor and interim principle Cellist in the Fresno Philharmonic. During my time at Fresno Pacific, I studied under Susan Doering, Concertmaster of the Tulare County Symphony Orchestra and Principal Second Violin of the El Paso Opera. I graduated in 2012 with a Bachelors in Studio Art.
