The School of Music at the 92nd Street Y School of the Arts has been the training ground for great musicians since its founding in 1917. It offers some of the best and broadest music education opportunities in New York with an exceptional faculty of performers and recording artistsand it has become a destination for musicians of all ages and levels of expertise throughout the city. Though based in traditional music studies, it never stops short on innovation, and offers unique programs on everything from jazz studies to MIDI synthesizer composition.
