Personal Statement
I believe that each student is an individual, and thus should be treated as such. I do not attempt to mold all of my students into some preset conception. I work with each student to find their own unique musical personality and I change my teaching methods in order to meet the needs of each student.
Education / Training
Woodwind Specialist Noelle Presby Lipa holds a Master of Music from Peabody Conservatory and a Bachelor of Music from Florida Atlantic University in clarinet performance. She has studied with renowned clarinetists such as Anthony Gigliotti, Edward Palanker, Steven Barta, Paul Green and George Sparks. Mrs. Presby Lipa is the founding member of Quintaero (woodwind quintet), performs with Arioso (reed trio), Midnight Moon Ensemble on both clarinet and flute and continues to freelance in the Baltimore/D.C. area. She has additionally performed with several groups such as the Florida Philharmonic, Symphony of the Americas, Gold Coast Opera, Boca Pops, Florida Wind Symphony, Miami Opera, CCBC Cockpit in Court, NCSA Europe Touring Summer Orchestra. As a soloist, Mrs. Lipa has performed at several faculty recitals and concert series over the years, was chosen to perform the Mozart Clarinet Concerto as featured soloist with the St. Louis Church Concert Orchestra and performed a solo recital on both clarinet and flute as an inaugural performance in the St. Paul Lutheran Church Concert Series where she also incorporated artwork, film, poetry and haute couture in a unique multi-media concert experience in 2012. Noelle is currently the Adjunct Woodwind Professor at Cecil College and the Adjunct Clarinet Instructor at Harford Community College. She was the clarinet adjudicator for Anne Arundel County Solo and Ensemble Festival in 2004 and has been a guest woodwind clinician at the Flordia Youth Conservatory and several other schools throughout her career as well as a panelist for the Notre Dame Preparatory Music Scholarship Audition COmmittee. Noelle was an instrumental group instructor for the Instrumental Music Program in Catholic Schools for nine years and she has maintained a private studio for fifteen years. She is currently teaching clarinet, flute and saxophone at Notre Dame Preparatory and has a home studio in Baltimore, Maryland. She has previously taught at studios such as CCBC Continuing Ed,Towson University Preparatory Division, Maryland Conservatory of Music, Chesapeake Center of the Arts, A.R.T.I~S.T., Musicians Institute of Baltimore and Mars Music.
