The Community Music School (CMS) teaches over 500 students annually in all instruments as well as voice. All instructors are professional musicians and hold degrees from prestigious conservatories and music schools in the USA and abroad. In addition to traditional instruction, the CMS curriculum includes a full Kindermusik™ program for children from infancy through age 7. Other programs available at CMS include: Suzuki Violin Academy for children as young as age 2½ ; Honors Program for advanced level students who show special aptitude and interest in music performance; Music Enrichment classes to supplement weekly private instruction; Music Therapy for students of all ages with special physical and/or developmental needs; Crescendo Chamber Camp, a week-long day camp for strings, winds, and pianists age 12-20; Greater Philadelphia Honors Orchestra Festival, held over one weekend in March for intermediate and advanced instrumental students, ages 11-18. Scholarships and financial assistance are available to qualified students. The Mühlenberg Piano Quartet, ensemble-in-residence at CMS, promotes awareness and interest for music in the surrounding communities through outreach concerts in public and private schools and concert venues.
