JCC on the Hudson School of Music and Performing Arts is a part of the Jewish Community Center on the Hudson, which is a non-sectarian organization serving several hundred families in the Westchester Rivertown communities. Very young children are introduced to the world of music through Kindermusik. Children may begin instrumental instruction in Suzuki group piano classes or private instruction, Music Theory classes and complementary lessons in Chamber Music. Music Theater programs give wonderful opportunities for the School students to work on acting techniques, stage movement and presence. Special consideration is also given to the specific needs and expectations of adults, whether they are beginners or advanced musicians. The School believes that participation in music instruction and performance builds poise and confidence that is relevant to all aspects of our lives.
