The School serves 3,000 students annually, from toddlers to senior citizens, who study music, dance and theater in the School’s facility, the 45,000 square foot Goodman House. In addition to the School, the Center operates Merkin Concert Hall, home to approximately 250 concerts each season; and the Special Music School – a unique public school for musically-gifted children. The Lucy Moses School offers a variety of classes, including private and group instrumental lessons, Suzuki training, Jazz studies, musical theater and vacation programs, dance courses, Dalcroze classes and much more – including a Young Artist Program in which students can receive pre-conservatory level training. The Balcony Gallery presents exhibits of student works and invited artists; the Birnbaum Music Library has a unique collection of Jewish Music and original manuscripts.
