The Manchester Community Music School provides instruction and performance opportunities in music to more than 1000 students of all ages. MCMS offers its programs in an artistic environment which encourages participation, interaction and increased cultural appreciation. The School is an active member in the community with associations and partnerships with schools, arts and performing organizations and agencies. MCMS makes its programs available to all interested parties based on interest, regardless of age, sex, race, national origin, physical challenges or ability to pay. The School sponsors the New Hampshire Youth Ensembles, including orchestras, wind ensembles, jazz ensembles and choral groups; the Manchester Chamber Players; private and group music instruction; jazz program; musicianship, theory, composition and appreciation classes; chamber music; early childhood music and movement; music therapy; and a financial assistance program.
