Personal Statement
I offer creative and fun piano lessons to students of all ages. My students have a great time in the studio each week learning the piano in fun and exciting ways. We do lots of learning games and activities, rhythm and movement activities, note recognition, technique, improvisation, composition. My students also love using the computer activities and software. My preschool students love WunderKeys, a program which takes younger children on a magical journey where they acquire the piano skills, keyboard awareness, and rhythmic understanding they need for a successful future at the piano. I love sharing my passion for music and the piano with my students and it is my goal to develop the same passion within them that will remain with them for a lifetime.
Education / Training
I have always love music and the piano. I began my private study with Miller Music, studying privately with Mrs. Judy Miller. I started with her as young child and continued well into my adulthood. She allowed me to substitute teach for her and taught me a great deal. In the late 70’s, I opened my own studio and began teaching and playing the piano and organ professionally. I am presently pianist/music director for Kure Beach First Baptist Church I serve as keyboardist for southern gospel group, Eddie Reynolds Trio. I hold a BS in Music Ministry from Emmanuel Baptist University.
