Community Music Center of Boston (CMCB) provides music education and related services to diverse constituencies throughout metropolitan Boston. CMCB is the product of a merger of two historic settlement music schools – The South End Music School and the Boston Music School Settlement – both of which were organized in 1910. CMCB serves over 5,000 individuals, including 4,000 in the public schools. It also reaches out with programs for seniors and persons with special needs, and maintains a lively instructional center in Boston’s South End.
