Personal Statement
It is my goal to reach students through music. I consider a successful lesson one in which the student is actively singing, listening, involved, moving, thinking, and perhaps most importantly, enjoying themselves and wanting to learn more. I believe strongly that music needs to be accessible to everyone. I teach regardless of students’ aspirations (whether they want to be professional musicians or not). My job as an educator to is to unearth and strengthen the innate musical ability that everyone possesses. Above all else, music needs to be fun!
