Personal Statement
Piano lessons for children or adults available from a conservatory trained classical pianist. I am patient, creative, and my teaching style is well rounded.
Lessons are weekly and one hour long, and generally include technique, sightreading, and some theory and ear training as well. This is in addition to the main body of the lesson which is devoted to the repertoire.
I am flexible, and can add and subtract from lessons according to your interests and needs. If you’re interested, improvisation and composition are also encouraged.
My students have always been very happy with me, and some have been accepted into pre college programs at major conservatories as well.
All I ask from students is a genuine love of music and some discipline in following a practice schedule.
Shorter lessons (half hour or 45 minute) are available for very young children (4yo-8yo).
At the end of the year there will be a public recital in which everyone is encouraged to participate- duets between siblings are encouraged.
