Personal Statement
Southern raised and classically trained, Annette’s twenty-three year violin career has taken her from the solo stage to underneath in the pit of off-Broadway productions. A versatile musician, she has collaborated with artists from across the United States and around the globe. Though heavily influenced by the Suzuki Method and Mother-Tongue philosophies, Annette teaches a balanced diet of musicianship, technique, theory, and musicology. She is a grand-student hybrid of celebrated violinist Dorothy Delay and violist Heidi Castleman, and a direct student of Cal Wiersma of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.
