Personal Statement

As an active soloist and performer, I know what it takes to succeed in music. Throughout my hard work and development as a musician, I have learned which things will allow you to improve, and also what things are a waste of time. I have attended masterclasses with numerous world renowned flutists, and other instruments groups, playing in many of them. With my wonderful teachers as mentors, I have learned the styles of wonderful flute teachers and am excited to share my knowledge of love of music with others.

Education / Training

I am a student at Duquesne University’s Mary Pappert School of Music, where my current teacher is Mr. Damian Bursill Hall, associate Principal flute of the PIttsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Before him I studied with Rhian Kenny for 3 years, principal piccolo of the Pittsburgh Symphony. I also take orchestral repertoire class with Jennifer Conner, second flute of the PSO. I have attended the Advanced Chamber Music Seminar, West Virginia University Flute Festival, Youngstown State University Flute Festival, Le Domaine Forget International Music Academy (QC, Montreal), Orford Arts Center (QC, Montreal), and The Consummate Flutist. I have performed in masterclasses with Emmanuel Pahud, Alberto Almarza, Jill Felber, Kathryn Umble, Francesca Arnone, Stacy Steele, Claudio Ferrarini, Trevor Wye, Marie-Andree Benny, Denis Bluteau, Camille Churchfield, Jacinthe Forand, Susan Hoeppner, Mathieu Dufour, and Robert Langevin.
