Personal Statement
Hello,
My name is Rebecca. I am a concert cellist with a position in the Chicago Civic Orchestra. Recently, I graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Music majoring in cello performance and Suzuki pedagogy (a teaching method which engages the minds of children and focuses their listening skills with open family involvement). Beginning in August, I am accepting students interested in learning cello. I have worked with beginners through advanced level players and would be extremely comfortable working with all experience levels. My performance experience includes concerts throughout the United States, Taiwan, China, and Japan and appearances as soloist with numerous orchestras. References are available upon request. My personal teaching philosophies seek to develop a genuine sense for musical expression along with a solid technical foundation. Music is a true universal language. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to explore such a wonderful art form! I look forward to hearing from you soon.
