Personal Statement
Julie Pacheco has a BM in Music Education from Ithaca College where she studied clarinet, and a MM in Music Performance from New Jersey City University where she studied flute, clarinet, saxophone and oboe in the multiple woodwinds program. Julie has worked as a woodwind doubler in over 25 musical theater productions as well as on cruise ships for Royal Caribbean International. She has played clarinet, saxophone and violin with the Philadelphia Orchestra Society and has performed in various groups for private functions throughout New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and California. Julie is also an active chamber musician, rehearsing and performing both for personal enjoyment and formal recitals.
Julie has been teaching for 14 years and has taught over 100 private students. From 20092011 she designed and implemented new instrumental music programs at Trevose Day School and Nazareth Academy Grade School in Pennsylvania and in 2006 she directed Neshaminy School District’s summer instrumental music program.
