Personal Statement
From the minute you walk into my studio, I make it my personal goal to help you to achieve your dreams in music. Because I myself am a professional singer/songwriter performing out there in the real world, I know what it takes to train someone to be successful. I have had training from some of the best coaches out there in jazz, musical theatre, opera, and contemporary (pop, country, rock, blues, soul, R & B). Plus, it doesn’t hurt that I have my Master’s Degree from DU’s Lamont School of Music in Vocal Performance in Jazz/Commercial Music. In musical theater, I have had the opportunity to perform in such venues as Disneyland, the Country Dinner Playhouse, and the Arvada Center to name a few. More recently though, I have had the opportunity to perform in such venues as the Soiled Dove, Jazz at Jacks, Dazzle Restaurant, Hapa Sushi, and Nonna’s Bistro. I really try to combine both classical and contemporary techniques so that you can sing any style focussing on aspects such as breath control, resonance, vowel modification, belting, and many more. Here are the some of the achievements some of my students have achieved since training with me: American Idol finalist in Denver, singing the national anthem at the Republican National Convention, Miss Teen Colorado winner in talent, acceptance into the renowned Berklee School of Music, leads in musicals both community and professionally, and many more.
