Personal Statement
I realize that each student’s approach to learning is different, so I try to create a fun, non-stressful, but still disciplined environment that focuses on using each students’ strengths and interests to make learning piano interesting and rewarding. After student’s learn the basics of reading music, I encourage them to pick a type of music that they want to learn along with a more regimented lesson book. Styles include but are not limited to…Disney, classical, religious, broadway and jazz/blues. I accept any age and have had experience in ages 3 to 87. I encourage adults to experience piano. You are Never too old to learn something new and learning about piano/voice and music in general can be enriching for everyone. Vocal lessons will progress according to each students’ needs and competency level. Please consider contacting me so I can share my passion for music with you.
PS: my rates are $17 a half hour for piano and $25 a half hour for voice. These are extremely reasonable rates for the amount of time and experience I have in teaching. As students progress, some choose to go to 45 minutes so they have extra time to work on their more challenging and varied types of pieces.
