Personal Statement
Welcome to Siobhan’s Studio, a place where developing violin and viola technique means working hard, having fun, and creating great music. I believe in utilizing an individualized approach to teaching, drawing from my experience with traditional methods of instruction and my training as a certified Suzuki teacher. Using my customized approach to teaching, my students have consistently scored in the top 5% in NYSSMA festivals.
You are invited to enroll for monthly lessons or by the semester. I offer 14-week fall and spring semesters and an abbreviated summer semester. Following each lesson, students receive a personal email providing a critique of their lesson and guidelines for their weekly home practice. Semesters culminate with recitals, featuring solo student performances.
Music enthusiasts at all levels of expertise are accepted, and instruction is offered to students from three years of age through adult. The studio is located in the Seven21 Media Center in Kingston NY, a cutting-edge, professional recording and media production facility in the historic Strand waterfront district.
