Personal Statement
David White, classical tenor and cross-over vocalist, studied voice and violin at the University of Central Oklahoma and studied opera in the graduate program at Oklahoma City University. He has performed in the genres of pop, Christian rock, gospel, jazz, music theatre, classical music and opera in a variety of venues including regional music theaters, national entertainment venues, Music Theatre of Wichita, Opryland U.S.A., Disneyland, Oklahoma Symphony, Long Island Opera, Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital Hall (Carnegie Hall) and other venues for classical music concerts. Mr. White currently sings with the Russian Chamber Chorus of New York and is a soloist at Manhattans West End Collegiate Church. He has also appeared as soloist at St. Spyridons Greek Orthodox Church with the Hellenic American Conservatory of Music and performed in Spanish on the international Latin television show Sabado Gigante, on the Univision TV network. www.davidowhite.com

Education / Training
Mr. White attended the University of Central Oklahoma with dual scholarships in vocal performance and violin, studying voice with Frances Spurlock. He followed up studying opera performance in the graduate program at Oklahoma City University with voice teacher Florence Birdwell and opera coach Kay Creed (opera contemporary of Beverly Sills and Placido Domingo).
In New York City, David O. White studied with William Riley (voice teacher to Debra Voight, Liza Minelli, Faith Hill, Celine Dion and various singers of many genres), David Gweshyn-Smith (former “Singer of the World” Winner in the UK), and Metropolitan Opera singer (currently voice teacher at Mannes School of Music in New York City) Ruth Falcon and Lois Albright. He has worked opera coaches Stephen Eldridge (Metropolitan Opera), Gordon Jeptha, Martha Wade, and former maestro Steven Crawford (former Associate Conductor at the Metropolitan Opera).
Mr. White has most recently been instructing singing classes at John Robert Powers in New York City, and works with Professional Performance Arts as Vocal Trainer and Coach for private lessons, workshops and singing classes.
