Personal Statement
I am a professionally trained mezzo-soprano classical singer with a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Baylor and will be completing my master’s in vocal performance from Boston University in May 2012. I am currently the alto section leader/cantor at St. Cecilia’s church and I also have extensive experience performing opera, music theater, oratorio, and sacred song. As a private voice teacher, I help singers gain confidence in performance, prepare for auditions or roles in shows, and use proper, healthy form in their daily practice! I teach singers of all ages and levels, and I also teach basic music theory, musicianship, sight reading/sight singing, and beginner piano! Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in lessons!
