The Arts Center offers a wide range of arts education: visual arts including painting, drawing, printmaking, book arts, photography, ceramics, glass arts, sculpture and textiles, and performing arts including theatre, music, and dance. Offerings in dance include tap, jazz, hip hop, swing, ballet and Chinese dance. Music lessons include piano, violin, cello, guitar, flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, banjo, trumpet, voice, bass guitar, and percussion. MAC is one of the tenants in a 1913 building called the Multnomah Center. Average enrollment is 1,500 students per term. The Arts Center has an excellent ceramics studio, a glass kiln, jewelry making equipment, printmaking studio with etching and lithography presses, and a weaving studio with approximately sixty looms. The Multnomah Arts Center has a gallery for emerging and established artists in Oregon and Washington.
