The Cornish College of the Arts Summer Music program affords middle and high school students ages 12-19 the opportunity to study with the renowned Cornish music faculty and special guest artists in a series of weeklong intensive workshops designed especially for the aspiring young musician. All weeklong workshops are conducted on the campus of Cornish College of the Arts located in the heart of Seattle. Workshops planned for summer 2010 include: Jazz Camp, Introduction to Latin and Afro-Caribbean Jazz, Improvisation for Classical Musicians, Brass Camp Northwest, Chamber Strings Workshop, Classical Voice Intensive, Piano Institute (both Junior and Senior divisions), Songwriters Workshop, The Rock Project, Javanese Gamelan and African Drumming, and Flute Masterclass with Robert Dick and Paul Taub. Enrollment in some workshops is extremely limited. Apply by April 15th to ensure your best chance of gaining admission to workshops with limited availability.
