The Community Arts Program at Seton Hill University serves community members from age 5 to over 65 and offers lessons and classes in music and dance. The more than 25 instructors of the Community Music Program, including Seton Hill faculty members, teach an average of 130 private music students each semester. The program also includes a summer residence camp for high school instrumentalists, “Winds ‘n Jazz in June,” the Youth Honors Band (6-8 grade students), Apprentice Chorus (2-3 grade students), Ear Training for Young Musicians, flute choir, clarinet choir, group piano, recital opportunities, jazz improv, and jazz combos. The Seton Hill University Dance Academy (SHUDA) offers classes in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, modern, acro, and hip-hop, a program for home-schooled students, and competitive teams.
