The Wilmington Music School (WMS) was chartered to provide quality music instruction to the citizens of Delaware. WMS received national accreditation from the Accrediting Commission for Community and Pre-Collegiate Arts Schools (ACCPAS) in February 2004. The school serves a geographic region including southeastern Pennsylvania, northern Maryland and southern New Jersey. The curriculum provides a variety of instruction including private lessons, an extensive series of early childhood offerings, group instruction as well as large and small ensembles. WMS currently lists approximately 80 instructors on its faculty who work with approximately 2,000 students each week. A concert series of faculty, guest artist and student recitals as well as concerts by the school’s seven large ensembles are presented in the school’s concert hall.
