Personal Statement
As a composer and music producer I’ve scored music for animation, television, film, dance, concerts and computer games. I’ve also produced 11 CDs of my own music, which includes symphonies, songs, concertos and many short works. As a teacher I teach through demonstration, examples, exercises, composition, analysis and, of course, empathy. I have a strong ability to articulate concepts and ideas and and I put great value on independence of thought and individual creativity. I inspire my students to exercise their own creative imaginations. I am also unique in that I have both high-level classical composition and orchestration skill as well as expertise in MIDI, sequencing, synthesizer programming, mixing and audio production. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree in classical music theory and composition from San Francisco State University and have studied with numerous composers and musicians in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
