Personal Statement
Adam Matta teaches human beatboxing, from basic sounds (bass, snare, hi hat), to advanced techniques. He works with youth in “beatbox orchestras,” where students perform parts of a drum kit, and make sound together. He instructs students in beatbox history, performance techniques, microphone techniques, gigging, collaboration and improvisation.
A beatbox lesson is like a drum lesson and vocal lesson in one, with patterns, theory, breathing techniques and vocal sounds and placement.
