Personal Statement
Zoltn Kodly, the great Hungarian musician, believed that music belongs to everyone. I share that belief, and strive to give my students the key to unlock the door to a lifetime of music. I have taught privately and in music schools for over 30 years, and am a creative and patient teacher, gearing lessons to each individual student. As well as piano, I teach theory, composition, ear training and improvisation. I have an extensive background working with children’s choirs, and my arrangements have been performed and recorded. I’ve written music for recorders, which is published by Editio Musica Budapest. My teaching experience is broad and varied, and I have taught from preschool music to college classes, served as director of a music school in Budapest, and everything in between !
Returning to the US after 15 years in Hungary, I look forward to building up a studio with people wishing to experience the joy of music in their lives.
