Personal Statement

Mage Wattley is one of six instructors for the Atlanta Girls Choir, located in the Woodland area, near the Atlanta Hartfield-Jackson International Airport. Mage was selected in 1967 to perform with newly conductor Robert Shaw’s Youth Choir organized upon his arrival to Atlanta.
As a known soloist, thereafter,
Mage was encouraged by instructor Fay Gold, a distinquished Buckhead artist, with an unique afterschool program.
The mentoring has guided the early direction and influenced the success for the Atlanta Girls Choir. The young group implements many workshops, concerts and has appeared on Fox5 television. The Atlanta Girls Choir unique learning of the Suzuki School method was a feature story in the
Atlanta Newspapers and highlights were shown in the
South Fulton’s Neighborhood News section of Arts & Entertainment.
The Atlanta Girls Choir is a non profit organization, established in 2003 with performances throughout the USA mainland and Hawaii.
