Personal Statement
I have been playing piano and violin for 14 years. During that time I have had the opportunity to play first violin with the Erie Junior Phil Harmonic and also in their various string ensembles. I preformed and studied with them for seven years, four of those spent in the main orchestra. I performed violin alongside with the Erie Phil Harmonic three separate times and also the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony. I have also performed violin in the district and regional orchestra for two years and played in the pit orchestra for community theater. I have accompanied on the piano for several choirs, including a local high school and two churches where I was employed as Director of Music. I have always loved music and teaching just came naturally. In my opinion, music is a part of everyone and needs to be expressed. It should be fun and rewarding yet teaching life lessons such as diligence, time-management, and confidence. My specialty is classical music but I am able to teach different genres of music.

Sep 2005 – May 2012 Erie Junior Phil Harmonic
I played in the Erie Junior Phil Harmonic for seven years in their various string ensemble. Four of those years in their orchestra. While being part of this orchestra, I was given the opportunity to play in a side-by-side orchestra concert with the Erie Phil Harmonic and the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony. I continued to perform in side-by-side with the Erie Phil Harmonic three separate times.
