Personal Statement
I am a music teacher because I think that music is a beautiful gift. I always enjoy helping and watching people discover music and look forward to making learning to play the violin or piano an enjoyable experience for you! I began playing the violin at the age of five. I received a variety of musical instruction throughout the years, but I was mainly taught using the Suzuki method. Classical music remains my favorite to play and listen to, although I also enjoy playing hymns and fiddle tunes. Besides violin, I have also had some piano instruction, during which I studied music theory and fundamentals such as scales and chords. My teaching experience began four years ago with two piano students, ages 9 and 7 followed soon after by three violin students, ages 10, 8, and 7. Since then, I have expanded my studio with some very talented and eager musicians!
