Personal Statement
Music is a creative endeavor that brings into focus disciplines of both the body and mind. I believe that a certain level of technical proficiency on the horn as well as a creative mindset is important if one is to derive the fullest potential out of music. My lessons tend to focus on these two subjects through thoughtful and focused exercises, bringing to light the difficulties one encounters while practicing. We will most likely talk about breath, sound (tone), scales, lip-slurs, improvisation, ear-training, rhythm, and harmony.
