Personal Statement
I believe learning music is a skill that everyone should embark on. No matter where you end up in life the knowledge and insight you gain from understanding music will be beneficial. That being said, my personal teaching goals are to enlighten students in a fun and inspiring atmosphere. I expect the most from my students, but also from myself to be able to cater to their specific needs and individual learning abilities.
I focus on small ensembles and one-on-one instruction. My teaching style deals directly with basic techniques and music concepts incorporated into playing actual music. The end result is a finished product of learning a piece of music to perform, as well as, intellectually understand the piece.

Currently working on a Masters of Music in Oboe Performance at Northern Illinois University.
