Personal Statement

Teaching is all about reaching the student and helping them to find the joy in learning. I apply this belief to my lessons. Students are able to learn technique, theory, and practical training, as well as what they would personally enjoy studying. This well-rounded approach helps students of all ages and levels to be challenged and to excel at their lessons. I believe that music should be fun first and then students will do well with learning the rest.

I have 12 years of experience teaching piano and voice, as well as my M.Ed. in Education from Regis University. I also have been playing and performing for 20 years. I will be working towards my doctoral degree in music therapy starting this year as well.
