Personal Statement
As a graduate from The Juilliard School, I have had intense training in viola performance, music theory, and ear training. I have been a teaching fellow for the Music Advancement Program at Juilliard since the Fall of 2011 and love teaching students one-on-one. I accept all levels and can focus lessons towards whatever goals the student sets, anywhere from rigorous to leisurely. In teaching the viola, I will explore the technical, musical, and historical aspects of the repertoire and encourage students to perform at least once a year in a casual or formal setting. In teaching music theory and ear training, we will apply the concepts learned and examine works by composers of all musical eras. Feel free to contact me with for more information!
