Personal Statement
Getting a child involved in learning music is such a wonderful experience for that child. Making sure each child learns the basics like simple music theory, ear training, and getting a diverse yet classical education in the instrument is a key to the success of the student. Proper technique and ear training are two very important things. Without learning proper technique students will create poor habits that will cause problems for the students down the line. I want learning to be fun for my students whether they are 5 years old or 22 years old. I want their experience to be positive and to always be something they look back at in a good light. Finding the way that each student learns is a challenge but to pick apart and find how they learn and create that positive learning environment that will allow them to succeed is the best reward I could ever have.
