Personal Statement

AS A PERFORMER:
As a native New Yorker, and current dweller therein, I have been exposed to and have worked with some of the world’s most skillful and imaginative artists. As a trumpeter, composer, arranger, and clinician, I am constantly striving to refine these abilities and skills. I hold a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Music Performance from SUNY Purchase, and have worked as teaching assistant at this university as well as at Rutgers University. I also have experience teaching, conducting, and mentoring young musicians both in a group setting, and privately. I performed with many incredible musicians at some of the worlds most respected venues. I have also been recognized internationally, by being awarded first place in the 2007 International Trumpet Guild Jazz Competition, and by being selected as a finalist in the 2009 Carmine Caruso Jazz Trumpet Competition. I currently perform, record, and teach music around the world.
AS A CLINICIAN:
No matter what aspect of your playing or musical ability you want to refine or learn more about, I will work with you as often as desired and share with you approaches to practicing that that are most efficient for you personally. I can help with any element of music you want to improve in, including trumpet playing, jazz improvisation, reading and writing skills, as well as how to effectively approach practicing and performing IN ANY ARTFORM. My hours, prices, and teaching locations are extremely flexible.
