This seminar offers string players and pianists the opportunity to play and study great chamber music in New York’s beautiful Adirondack Park. Participants will work with world-class faculty in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere, focusing on ensemble techniques and general musicianship. Participants may come as individuals or as part of pre-formed groups. A typical day will include morning and afternoon coaching sessions plus optional evening activities including master classes, a faculty concert, organized sight-reading, guest presentations, a participant performance and social activities. A late afternoon break will allow time for recreation, rest, sight-reading or enjoying the group social hour before dinner. Participants enrolling as individuals should have a command of the instrument adequate for playing chamber music and be able to read music comfortably.
