The music program within the David Adler Cultural Center has been in existence since 1980 and in the year 2002 adopted the name, Adler Institute of Music (AIM). AIM is dedicated to providing music education needs to all members of the community. Located approximately 40 miles north of Chicago, AIM serves over 600 students each year. 19 faculty members teach individual music instruction in both the Suzuki and traditional methods in piano, strings, voice, woodwinds and guitar. Individual music instruction students frequently share their music with each other at Performance Night, held on every third Friday of the month, and numerous student recitals throughout the course of the year. AIM also serves the community’s music education needs by offering group classes for students interested in Beginning Suzuki Piano, Beginning Violin, Music Theory, the AIM String Ensemble, Kindermusik and summer music camps.
