Personal Statement
Hello,
my name is Francesco Ciniglio. I have been studying and playing drums since I was 5 years old, and started teaching it at 15.
I always found teaching as a way to let other people know what I think about music, and at the same time let them develop a more elastic mentality about music. No matter how old a student is, I think a teacher always has to have a huge array of possibilities about different ways of teaching, in base of each single student. I also study Pedagogy and I know that lessons are not always all the same. The role of the teacher should consist in being versatile and malleable everytime, by being a friend, and a person who the student can relay on musically and personally.
More in detail, I usually give a lot of examples on how to play a specific groove or tempo on the drums, either by playing the student some tracks by my iPod or playing WITH him/her some melodies/harmonies on piano.
