Personal Statement

As a free lance trombonist around Philadelphia from 1985-2000 I learned how to succeed in the greater musical world. As the Principal Trombone of the North Carolina Symphony (since 2001) I can demonstrate the highest level of musicianship. Along with a tremendous amount of playing experience, I have taught at all levels including community music schools through college. Schools included: Lehigh University, Moravian College, Community College of Philadelphia, West Chester University (PA), University of Delaware and since 2010 at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem. At UNCSA I can offer hard won experience and first class direction for trombonists seeking to survive in a competitive musical world.
