Personal Statement

I first discovered my love of teaching while studying at the Moscow State Chopin Academy. During my time there, I had the great privilege of serving as teaching assistant to the great cello pedagogue, Professor Maria Zhuravleva in both the College and Pre-college divisions.

Currently, I serve on the Faculty of the Longy School of Music of Bard College. I have had the experience of working with students of all levels, from the very beginner to the most advanced players.

I believe that art and art- making makes people better and that everybody, if properly nurtured, can become a true artist in his own right. I am thrilled and honored to help every student find their way on the path towards becoming that artist.
