Personal Statement

I am a classically trained piano teacher, with over 15 years of experience teaching students privately and in DC area schools, having learned from one of the best conservatories in Russia. I am open to adjusting my teaching style and find a specific approach that best benefits my student. I teach different styles of music from classical & jazz to popular.

19911999. Worked as a Teacher at the Piano Department of Arzamas Musical College (Russia). Taught courses on Solo Piano Performance, Piano Ensemble, Chamber Ensemble, Practice Teaching, Concert Master, and History of Piano Art to piano majors and minors, working with students 15-21 years old. Numerous performances in collegiate concerts as a solo pianist and with various instruments and voice.

April, 2005. Piano accompanist, arranger and composer for the theater at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA, Manassas, VA). Productions included The Lone Ranger, Fibber McGee and Molly and The Shadow.
