Personal Statement
Hi! My name is Paul Cuffari and I am a Bassist, Arranger, Producer in the tristate area.
Growing up I took lessons at a private professional music studio for Guitar (8 years), Voice (2 years), Drums (2 years), Marching Snare (4 years), and Piano (1 year). Using what I learned as being on the student side of music education, and everything I continue to learn in my daily life as a musician, I give a well-rounded music education to my students.
I have been teaching privately for around 3 years now. I have focused mainly on teaching kids of all ages and skill levels. Two huge factors I focus on are getting the basics of tone production and technique on the instrument. Being a professional working musician in the tri-state area, these are the things I work on personally to better myself every day.
Additionally, I aim to get the student to be able to learn HOW to practice, not just what to practice so that they may learn from themselves just as much as from me.
Other Key Points I touch upon in my curriculum include:

Lastly, and one of the most important things, I urge the students to bring in different material and music of their choice for me to teach them. In building one’s passion for music, it is crucial to keep it interesting for that specific person’s needs and desires.
