Personal Statement
My instruction is a reflection of my own development and the trial and error in finding out what is the most efficient way of learning a new concept, then relaying this information to my students with a focus on all areas of musicianship; no matter what the level of musical experience. Through breaking down topics into smaller, clear, more manageable parts and exercises for real results week-to-week, positive habits and efficient learning is reinforced. Lessons also consist of learning everything in the context of real musical examples, as opposed to learning a “scale or chord just for the sake of learning a scale or chord”. Within my instruction, I focus on developing a lesson plan/course of study to suit and fit your individual wants, needs, goals and strengths/weaknesses, all while putting an emphasis on creativity in a patient and encouraging environment.
